Campaign: Opening of new arts centre
Mhairi Clarke was asked to publicise the official opening of Dollar Academy’s Maguire Building – a state-of-the-art arts centre for the school’s pupils and the community.
Objectives
The objectives of the campaign were to:
- Raise awareness of the new facility and the investment made by the school in arts and sport
- Engage the Scottish and local media and develop a relationship for the future
The campaign
Mhairi Clarke PR drew up a list of key media to invite to the event and issued a photocall to local and national press. Mhairi managed all press attending on the day and accompanied journalists on tours of the building, facilitating interviews and photo opportunities with key people.
Results
All local press attended the event and the opening of the new facility received coverage in all the local press and The Scotsman.
