Campaign: Launch of second generation website
Mhairi Clarke was approached by Bertie Browns, a highly successful award winning card, jewellery and gift boutique based in Perth to help PR the launch of their second generation website.
The company was launched by Jane Atkinson in 2005 and provides a fun, personal and stylish shopping experience, from its striking pink exterior to the friendly staff who create a warm, welcoming and inviting backdrop an unrivalled range of contemporary jewellery pieces by all the latest and upcoming designers, fun and trendy giftware items and a selection of unique cards and gift wrapping.
Jane had seen an article about Mhairi Clarke in Business Women Scotland magazine and approached her to discuss the PR needs of the company, the priority being the launch of the website.
Objectives
- To raise awareness of the new website and the range of jewellery items
- Publicise the success and growth of the company to date
The campaign
Mhairi listened to Jane’s company objectives and offered her some advice around structuring stories over the course of a year and planning events out to ensure a steady flow of news to stimulate interest in the shop. Mhairi prepared and distributed the press release to announce the launch of the website which had been designed to offer customers a new, sophisticated online extension of the shop in Perth with all the attributes that make Bertie Browns a unique place to visit, in Perth, or on the web.
Results
The release was sent to local press, national lifestyle press, women’s lifestyle publications and coverage appeared in The Scotsman and a range of jewellery/trade publications and websites.
